    We are going on our first Disney Cruise in March 2011 on the new Disney Dream boat. My kids will be 3 and 1 at the time, Is it true kids in swim diapers can't go in the pools?

    Hi Cara,

    It's true! U.S. Public Health Service requirements allow only children who are toilet trained to enter shipboard pools and spas. Diapers and swim diapers are not allowed.

    Currently on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, young children who are not toilet trained are welcome to enjoy the fountain play area near the Mickey Pool that has been designed exclusively for the enjoyment of children wearing swim diapers. On the Disney Dream Nemo's Reef is a much larger and improved splash area for the little ones.

    Although it sounds like a bummer, I can tell you that with a cruise-ship environment I appreciate the enforcement of this rule.  I have seen the Mickey Pool drained and cleaned during the most popular time of the day due to accidents, and it's pretty disappointing to everyone looking to take a swim.
