We are going on our first Disney Cruise in a long time in November. Our cruise has the pirate party and pirate themed dinner. My question is do we wear our pirate costumes to the dinner, or just to the deck party? Thanks.

Ahoy, Lisa! (or should I say "Arrrr, Matey!")

I absolutely love Pirate Night - it's one of my favorite features of a Disney Cruise! You'll be surrounded by scurvy scallywags and plundering pirates as you enjoy all the swashbuckling fun at dinner and at the deck party.

Pirate Night is a busy night, with lots of cool activities going on around the ship. If you're planning to dress up in pirate costumes, I encourage you to wear them to dinner, as well as the deck party. There's not much time between activities, and you won't want to miss a single thing! You'll enjoy a special "pirate-themed" meal, served by your awesome Dining Team - decked out in their pirate finery! On our last cruise, the Dining Manager was wearing a fabulous tricorn hat with a plume that would make even Captain Hook cringe with jealousy. You can expect to see guests dressed in all levels of pirate awesomeness - from a simple eye patch to full-blown Captain Jack Sparrow costumes!

After dinner, the fun continues on the pool deck at the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party. All your favorite Disney Characters will be there, dressed as swashbuckling pirates and fair maidens. Watch out for Captain Hook - he might just try to take over the party. No worries - Hook and Mr. Smee are no match for Captain Mickey and his crew!

Your night of pirate fun ends with a breathtaking fireworks display at sea - Buccaneer Blast. It's so cool to watch the fireworks twinkle as they burst over the water. Did you know that Disney Cruise Line was the first cruise line in the world to offer pyrotechnics at sea? Just another reason DCL is the best!

I hope this helps with your planning and packing! Enjoy your pirate celebration, me hearties!
