Ahoy Lisa –
We are so excited to hear about your very first Disney cruise! Your pirate crew will have a fabulous vacation with Disney Cruise Line, and get ready to be blown away with the enjoyment of Castaway Cay. I just returned yesterday from my Disney cruise vacation, and
Castaway Cay is always a treasured stop for my crew. We just love splashing in the crystal clear waters, building sandcastles, and relaxing under a shady hammock. Of course adventurous families will enjoy plenty of the activities which include snorkeling, parasailing, stingray encounters and bicycling to name a few. Castaway Club members (guests who have sailed with Disney Cruise Line before) and Concierge guests will have access to book a cabana ahead of time. Cabanas are open for registration for Concierge and Platinum Castaway guests 120 days prior to embarkation, for Gold Castaway 105 days prior, Silver Castaway 90 days prior, and for new sailors 75 days prior to embarkation. To request a cabana, after online check-in look under Port Adventures and search for cabanas at Castaway Cay. Due to popularity, cabanas go very quickly and it is unlikely you will be able to get one unless you are Concierge or Platinum. A cabana runs $549 for a family of six. I have not had the opportunity to stay in a cabana yet, but we are very comfortable at Castaway Cay with the large number of beach loungers and chairs that have umbrellas and plenty of shade. Servers come through to offer drinks and cocktails, and the bathroom facilities are close by. Lisa, I hope that your pirate crew has a wonderful vacation this summer with Disney Cruise Line and please come back to see us if you need more help.
