Hi! I will be on my first Disney cruise in January. Unfortunately a little bit of work always spills over into vacation time. I have AT&T for my cellular service and may need to access my hotspot while aboard the ship, how is the service/WiFi plan? TY!

    Hi there, Suzi!

Welcome back to planDisney. I am glad that my planDisney friends were able to answer your other questions, and now it is my turn!

Yay for your first Disney Cruise! You will love it! I cannot typically use my cell phone as a hotspot when sailing on a cruise. Instead, I recommend purchasing an Internet Package. A few options are available, depending on your needs, and they can be purchased on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app after boarding the ship. Package offerings and prices are subject to change at any time. The options currently include:

    • "Stay Connected" allows Guests to access certain social media sites, such as Facebook and Instagram. Pricing starts at $16/day when you purchase it for the full voyage and $18/day when you purchase it for only 24 hours. Prices are subject to change at any time."
    • "Basic Surf" includes the "Stay Connected" package offerings plus access to the web, email, and voice calling. It begins at $24/day for the full voyage or $28/day when purchased for only 24 hours. Prices are subject to change at any time.
    • "Premium Surf" includes the "Basic Surf" package offerings plus video on YouTube, Snapchat, and TikTok, as well as video calling and music streaming (such as Pandora and Spotify). Video streaming is not available. Pricing begins at $34/day for the full voyage or $42/day for only 24 hours. Prices are subject to change at any time.

Guests have the option to purchase packages for up to four devices. Additionally, Guests can typically send text messages without images using iMessage or WhatsApp at no charge. Most features of the Navigator app are also available for all Guests, including communicating with other family members sailing with you. It is very helpful! I recommend downloading the Navigator app now if you have not done so already. You can use the app to book Port Adventures and Onboard Activities during your booking window!

Suzi, I hope you have a wonderful voyage! Please reach out to planDisney again if you have additional questions.

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
