This is our first Disney Cruise, and while we are very excited, we are a bit confused on which port adventures are through disney cruise line, and which are third party. Is there a way to tell the difference when booking online?

    Hi there, Janet!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I am so glad you sailed by with your question about your family’s FIRST Disney Cruise Line vacation!  Get ready for a vacation that you won’t forget!  So much fun awaits you onboard and at the ports of call you will be visiting.

Disney Cruise Line’s Port Adventure team does a phenomenal job of selecting the best of the best activities for Guests to experience when they visit different ports.  My family has been on numerous excursions that we booked with Disney Cruise Line and have enjoyed having all the legwork done for us!  It completely takes away the stress of organizing and deciding what to do when you arrive at a port for the day and I know that everything will be taken care of for me allowing me to enjoy the experience to the fullest.  From my experience, most excursions are facilitated by a local third-party vendor.  Disney Cruise Line does the organizing, but once you arrive at the excursion you will find it is usually locally run.  Disney Cruise Line’s Port Adventure team is there to assist and answer any questions leading up to your excursion (they even have a desk onboard you can visit) or during your excursion.  We have always felt extremely comfortable during our excursions because we know how much Disney Cruise Line value’s their Guests experience and they do everything they can to ensure it is a positive one for all Guests.  Port Adventures can be booked once your onboard booking window opens, which since you are a first time Guest, will be 75 days ahead of your sailing.  You can always check once onboard for availability if you (like me) have a hard time deciding between all the fun options.

Have a magical and memorable voyage!

    Happy Sailing!
