Hi! Our first Disney cruise is in early March - 7-night, Fantasy. I’m worried my son might miss evening shows due to the times I selected for the youth activities. Is there any way to find out show times/dates planned in advance (8p Dinner seating? Thanks!

Ahoy there, Dale and welcome to planDisney! Permission to come aboard granted - and good thing, too, you're less than 30 days away! Have you started your online check-in yet?

I'm so excited for you and your crew to embark on your first Disney Cruise Line vacation! I remember my first cruise like it was yesterday - even though it was more than (checks notes) two decades ago. While a lot has changed in that time, one thing is certain: you are going to have an incredible time aboard the Disney Fantasy

The live entertainment options on the Disney Cruise Line fleet is definitely not to be missed, so I'm glad you're thinking of how to ensure your entire family gets to experience it all! With Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular, Disney's Believe, and Frozen, A Musical Spectacular all part of the Walt Disney Theatre's offerings, you're in for a treat of Mickey Premium Bar proportions!

While you will have to wait until you're aboard to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the specific show schedule, I can tell you that the last time I cruised, the early show started around 6:15 p.m., with each running about an hour. Even if you've made your son's reservations for youth activities for that time, I have good news, Dale! According to the latest "Know Before You Go Information," sailings six nights and longer are scheduled to have two or three Broadway-style shows. While this is done primarily to support physical distancing and reduced capacity, it has the practical benefit of giving your crew multiple times to see the shows!

Now, entertainment schedules are subject to change at any moment, but I hope this gives you the peace of mind that your son won't miss out!

As habitual second-seating choosers, my family loves the fact that we can work up our appetite all day, clean ourselves up for the early show and then transition to dinner before taking-in all the exciting moments like trivia, around the ship each evening! I hope you feel the same when you are sitting in the Walt Disney Theatre with your son!

Dale, thank you again for sailing our way with your question! I can't wait for you to experience all the MAGIC of your first Disney Cruise with your family, and let me be the first to welcome you to the Castaway Club! If you come up with any additional questions as you continue to count down the days, you know where to find me here at planDisney - I'm always here to help!

I wish you fair winds and following seas,

    Andrew
