    We are going on our first Disney cruise from 29 December to 5 January with our two boys 6 and 12. As we will be on the ship for New Year's eve, I was wondering if there is a special dress code for the children.

    Thanks for sailing by.  How exciting that you will ring in 2019 onboard Disney Cruise Line.  I can't think of a better place to celebrate!  I sailed with Disney Cruise Line a few years ago on New Year's Eve, and most guests took the opportunity to dress up a bit to celebrate.  My boys were about your kids' ages at the time and they dressed in what we would normally wear to a formal night for dinner.  After a few pictures and dinner, however, their outfits became way more casual.  Their adorable matching bow ties were the first to go.  By the end of the (very late) night, they were both in shorts!  You will find guests run the gamut in terms of attire, but, again, on my New Year's sailing most were a bit more dressed.  There were lots of sparkly tops and celebratory attire.
