Hi! We are going on our first Disney cruise. We booked connecting rooms, but I was given two separate reservation numbers. Does that mean we will not be dining together? Also, is there a way to get on the same dining rotation as our friends? Thanks!

Ahoy there, Melody. Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your questions for us.

I’m excited you and your friends are heading to the high seas together. It’s always fun traveling in a large group! The more the merrier, right? We often travel with extended family in several staterooms, each with its own reservation number. We “vacation” differently and all have different schedules and agendas. For example, a few of us are early risers and enjoy heading to the Fitness Center before having breakfast in one of the Main Dining Rooms. Some of us enjoy sleeping in until close to lunch time. But we all love coming together to talk about our fun day during dinner and we always dine at the same table by connecting our reservations prior to sailing.

There are several ways you can link your reservations with your friends. You can do this by logging into your account on the Disney Cruise Line website and locating your reservation. On the right, you will see your stateroom number. Above that, there is a rectangle with your reservation number and a downward arrow. Click on that and you will see “Add and Link Reservations”.

You can also link your reservations on the Disney Cruise Line Navigation App. Once you log in to view your reservation, you will see a tab on the bottom right that says “More” with three horizontal lines. Click on it and beneath the waving Mickey Mouse, you will see a box that says “Add Reservation”.

To add and link your friends’ reservation, you will need the name and birthdate of one of the Guests in the stateroom and their reservation number. Once you have connected your reservations, the dining room team will ensure you’re on the same rotational dining and assign a large table for you to sit together.

I hope you’ll have the most magical time on your upcoming sailing. If you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by planDisney again.

    Bon voyage,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
