Hi! We are going on our first Disney cruise in April 2015. 3 night Bahamian cruise! Should I be expecting a pirate night and pirate themed dinner? Or is that just on 4 night and longer itineraries? Thank you so much for your help!

    Welcome Aboard, Emilie!
Congratulations on booking your very first Disney Cruise Line vacation! On our first Disney Cruise, we really didn't know what to expect. WOW, were we amazed at all there is to see and do! You'll be treated like a VIP from start to finish, so make sure to pack your sunglasses - you'll feel like a rock star!

On a three-night Bahamian itinerary, you can certainly expect to enjoy Pirate Night! Pirate Night typically falls on night two of your sailing, and it's a swashbuckling good time! Crew members and Guests will be dressed in their best pirate finery, so don't forget to pack your favorite buccaneer gear! While you'll enjoy lots of pirate-themed activities, you won't have a special pirate-themed dinner menu on a three-night cruise. You'll enjoy the signature menu for the restaurant where you dine that evening.

What I really love about Pirate Night are the fun photo ops with favorite Disney Characters dressed in their pirate costumes. Each day, you'll receive a Personal Navigator - a detailed schedule of everything happening on the ship. Check your Navigator for times and locations for Character Greetings - you might be able to get your picture made with one of three (or all three!) different captains: Captain Mickey, Captain Hook, or that scallywag Captain Jack Sparrow!

No worries if you forget to pack your pirate gear - every cruiser will be given a bandana to wear, and there's lots of fun pirate goodies for sale in the onboard shops!

I hope this helps with your planning and packing! Please let us know if you have more questions as your sail date gets closer.
    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
