Hi Lee!
Thanks so much for sailing to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! There is so much to celebrate during your inaugural, multi-generational voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line, I don't know where to begin! Haha! You and your family must be getting so excited! This past summer my entire family went on a Disney Cruise to celebrate my Dad's retirement. When we all get together, we still bring up funny memories from our voyage!
One of the best parts about docking at Nassau is that the shopping and restaurants on the island are just steps from the ship! You can celebrate your "girls' day out" by exploring the local culture and grabbing a bite to eat on the island. May I suggest something else? We love visiting the
pools on deck while the ship is docked at different ports of call because they're less crowded! After you are finished exploring the island, I recommend coming back onboard and finishing your girls' day lounging by the pool. Perhaps you can all toast each other with the "Drinks of the Day" (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, of course) and your 8-year-old can get her hair braided on deck, too!
When my family took our multi-generational voyage this past summer, we made sure to get pictures taken by the
onboard photographers! One of the best nights for pictures is
Pirate Night! It's so fun to see families dressed up in their pirate-y apparel taking group pictures together.
Lee, I'm wishing you such a magical voyage! If you have any more questions before setting sail, please don't hesitate to visit us again!
