    Hi! We are going on our first DC in a few weeks. I'm planning excursions for our family, including our 14-month old. Do you know if there's a place to get out of the sun if we did the Blue Lagoon Island Beach Day? Possibly with A/C?

    Hi Mallory!

    Welcome!  You are SO close to being able to say, “I’m going on a Disney Cruise THIS month!!” and know you must be absolutely thrilled about the adventure you are about to embark on!  You are going to have just the best time and I am so excited for all the memories you will make with your family on this special vacation.

    I am so excited to hEAR you are taking a little one with you when you set sail.  We have been cruising the high seas with our boys since they were tiny and I hands down, 100% recommend it!  I mean, where else can you go on vacation with a baby and have access to a nursery that is specifically designed just for them?!?!  And if you are on the fence about utilizing the nursery onboard, definitely do it!  Your little one will have a great time and be taken care of by excellent nannies allowing you time to enjoy some vacation time!

    My family and I have visited Blue Lagoon Island more than once when we visited Nassau and it was simply wonderful!  We thoroughly enjoyed our day on the beach and it’s one of our favorite excursions to take when we want a relaxing day at the beach.  From my experience, there is not anywhere indoors to sneak away to with the little one, although there are some shaded and covered areas that you can sit at.  I would recommend bringing one of those pop-up beach shades.  We always traveled with that and it came in handy on multiple occasions.  We purchased ours online and it was a great investment – that and a portable sound machine which we still don’t travel without!
