On the first day of our trip this September we'll be arriving at Disneyland/DCA after 3pm. Do we still need a park reservation for that day?

Howdy, Leslie! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

While the best time to plan a magical vacation is any time, I do love a September Disneyland Resort trip! In fact, I'm planning one myself! There is something extra exciting about building up that anticipation for my favorite time of year, spooky season! Halloween at Disneyland is frightfully fun and September allows you to experience many of the perks of Halloween without the larger holiday crowds. If you're lucky, you may even be able to catch Oogie Boogie Bash, an after-hours party scheduled to return this fall.

Leslie, if you'd like to visit a park on the day of your arrival, you will still need a park reservation to enter either Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. Even though you will likely arrive later in the day and after park-hopping hours begin, a reservation is always required when you scan into your first park each day.

The great news? Your proactive thinking and need to "be prepared" puts you well ahead of the game. You can make your park reservations ahead of time and won't have to worry too much about the availability!

    Have a magical day, Leslie!
