Ho-ho-ho! Hello there, Jacque, and welcome to
planDisney! I'm so excited, because Christmas, EPCOT, and surprises are a few of my favorite things. Thanks for stopping by with your question!
First of all, I have to say that you picked a wonderful gift for your grandchildren! I'm sure that you're all going to have the most magical day. Now, I think I have an idea!
EPCOT is an amazing backdrop for a surprise, so why not make the announcement with the help of our
Disney PhotoPass Cast Member friends?! I think that the kids would love it if you surprised them right by the EPCOT Christmas tree. It's definitely my favorite one!
Jacque, all you need to do for this to work is line up behind the Cast Member who's taking pictures by the tree, and let them know that you're planning on surprising your grandkids with
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets. Use a small note to let them know just in case the kids are within hearing distance! Now, you'll pose for a few pictures and then... SURPRISE! You could pull out some Minnie ears, light-up necklaces, Christmas sweaters, special ornaments, or any other holly-jolly extras that you can think of from your backpack, and tell them that they get to enjoy the party later that night. The best part about this kind of surprise is that you'll get to remember the moment forever, because the PhotoPass photographer will have captured the entire thing for you!
I recommend purchasing the
Memory Maker service in advance of your trip so that you're able to download all the photos from your magical vacation. If you do, you can also take advantage of the special Holiday-themed backdrops and Magic Shots found at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! I love Memory Maker, because I can relax and forget all about taking pictures during my vacation. The talented PhotoPass photographers will do all the work for you! I encourage you to make the most out of the service by taking as many pictures as you possibly can. One time, my dad and I hunted down every single PhotoPass location in Magic Kingdom Park, and we ended up with well over 300 pictures from a single day!
I hope that you have a jingle-bell-swell time at the Most Magical Place on Earth, Jacque. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach back out to us!
Merry Christmas to you and yours,
Ana Paula
