Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa!
I hope you are looking forward to your Walt Disney World® Resort vacation! I agree having a relaxing day by the pool is an excellent way to start your trip after a long day of traveling.
With regard to being able to watch
Wishes and the
Electric Water Pageant from the beaches of
Disney's Polynesian Resort, I can tell you parking is currently limited to guests of this resort and those with Advanced Dining Reservations. In addition, the beach area located to the right of the marina is currently closed (area in front of the Nanea Volcano Pool) with no date set for reopen. In spite of limited parking and beach closures, you are still welcome to visit Disney's Polynesian Resort for these nighttime activities by utilizing the Monorail and by viewing from the open beach area between Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.
And as always, things move fast and change frequently--so you may not encounter any of these issues by the end of August! The good news is you are welcome to visit this beloved resort despite all the pixie dust it's currently undergoing.
I hope this information is helpful, Melissa! Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have as you plan and prepare for your magical vacation.
Wishing you an electric time!
