Hi Howard. Welcome to planDisney, where we help Guests make the most out of their Disney vacations by answering all of their burning questions!
As you may know, the
Disability Access Service, commonly referred to as DAS, is a wonderful service through the
My Disney Experience mobile app that allows eligible Guests to
pre-register for 2 attractions per day. It takes away some of the worries about waiting in long queue lines because once your return window comes around, you'll wait in a shorter queue. And while you wait for your return window, you can do whatever else makes you happy.
Grab a snack (my favorite),
ride attractions that have a short wait (also my favorite), or
shop for your next favorite souvenir (or maybe this is my favorite?)!
After confirming with a friendly Cast Member, I can tell you that the earliest you'd be able to pre-register to chat virtually with a Cast Member would be 30 days in advance of your first reserved park day, not 30 days prior to your
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party visit. In your case, since your first park day is August 30th, the earliest you can pre-register is July 31st. And while you
can do this up to 2 days before your park visit, the earlier you register, the better chance you'll have to reserve the attractions you most want.
Since you're visiting in August of this year, the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be taking place. This is the flagship festival and my personal favorite of the four festivals at
EPCOT. While waiting for your next Disability Access Service return window, what better way to spend your time than to enjoy the offerings at the
Global Marketplaces? You can even try the much-talked-about Pickle Milkshake at Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey. While I do love a good milkshake, I'm not a fan of pickles, so I may have to skip it. But then again, did you really go to the 2023 festival without at least trying it? Probably not! And plus, that marketplace is themed to the
Muppets so I just
have to stop by!
Howard, if you have any other questions, please be sure to
reach out to me and I'd be happy to get the answers just for you!
It’s nice to be important, but it’s important to be nice,
Matt
