The first day of my family's trip is January 2nd. How long does the jingle cruise overlay usually stay up at Magic Kingdom?

    Hi Jodi! Welcome to planDisney.

I can't think of a better way to ring in a new year than with a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! Your early January visit is the perfect way to usher in a magical 2022, and I'm so excited for you. I know you are counting down the days!

The Jingle Cruise is one of my very favorite holiday experiences. I'm a huge fan of the world-famous Jungle Cruise, and the whimsical additions the skippers make for the holiday season are too much fun. At this time, we don't know when the skippers will un-deck their halls  - it's usually in early January to coincide with the end of the holiday season around the Walt Disney World Resort. Sometimes, the holiday decorations come down after the runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend, but I can't make any promises that it will go that way this year.

I'm sending pixie-dusted wishes that you get a chance to experience the Jingle Cruise in early 2022, Jodi! The good news is that the Jungle Cruise is always full of great Disney details and the best jokes, so even if the skippers are back to the regular cruise, you're going to have a great time!

I recommend reading the Disney Parks Blog to stay up-to-date with the latest news and planning tips. The planDisney Panelists are sharing our tips and finds from inside the Disney Parks on Instagram @planDisneyPanel, and I hope you'll cruise on over and join our adventures there. If you have any further questions as you finalize your plans and count down the days, please come see us. We don't "take for granite" what an honor it is to help our fellow Guests with their Disney dreaming, and are always happy to go "the extra Nile" to help you plan the happiest vacation.

    Wishing you much magic,
