    If it is my first day at Disney and I have a dining reservation but have not used my Exchange Certificate to activate my annual pass, will I still receive the dining discount?

    Hello Donya! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    When I first became a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder, I immediately booked a stay at a Disney Resort Hotel using a Special Offer afforded to Annual Passholder even though I had not yet activated my Annual Pass.

    I was still able to keep my Exchange Certificate and my Resort Hotel Discount until I arrived at Walt Disney World Resort. The one catch will be that you will be required to visit a Theme Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations at Disney Springs to validate your Annual Pass before you can receive the discount for your dining experience. I had to go to a ticket window at Magic Kingdom before I officially Checked-In at Disney's Contemporary Resort to receive my Annual Pass to receive the discount. 

    When you exchange the provided certificate, you will be presented your Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass. This Annual Pass (with a valid photo ID) must be presented at the time of your Advanced Dining Reservations or when you are attempting to take advantage of any of the benefits or discounts offered to Annual Passholders.
