Hi, what can we do on the first day if we arrive early and the check in is only late afternoon? We're at the carribean beach resort. Same for check out day? we have tickets for those days for the parks but what do we do with the luggage?

    Kim:

Thanks for coming to the Mom's Panel!

Even if you arrive early, you can check-in at your resort beginning at 8 a.m.  Your room may not be ready until the official room check-in time of 3 or 4 p.m. (depending on where you're staying), but you can certainly get your park tickets, Keys to the World card (for charging privileges) and even check your luggage.

Speaking of luggage, when you check-in, you simply need to take your luggage to the bell stand at the hotel. They will give you a receipt for it and store it. The cast member at check-in can point you in the right direction. The same will hold true on your day of departure: if you have luggage and need to check out before you plan on leaving Disney property, check your luggage at the bell stand. FYI: It's a courtesy to tip the bellman $1 per bag when you pick up your luggage or have it delivered to your room.

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
