Anchors Aweigh, Minita!
Thank you so much for sailing by planDisney. How exciting that you are planning ahead for an upcoming Disney Cruise with your little Mouseketeer! My son's first
Disney Cruise was to celebrate his first birthday, and my twins' first Disney Cruise was for their first birthday. We have sailed with Disney several times, including last year when my oldest son was 15 - and he loved it just as much as his first visit. The best thing about Disney Cruises is that there is something for every age and stage.
Minita, when we sailed with my oldest son and again with my twins, we used an umbrella stroller that we often traveled with. While Disney Cruise Staterooms are quite thoughtful with their space, it is a little easier to maneuver the hallways and the decks with an umbrella stroller. Additionally, if you need to fold it down to quickly go up and down stairs (although there are elevators), it is easy to do and lightweight. I also think they fit the best in the Staterooms. There is space under the bed where you can store your luggage, but your stroller would also fit nicely under there. You could also potentially store it in the closet if it is an umbrella size.
Now, Minita, if you need any
amenities for your room, such as a Diaper Genie or a Pack 'n Play, you can ask your Stateroom Host, who will bring one for you. There are laundry rooms on the ship as well, which can be helpful when planning your packing. And, if your little one is like mine were, their beauty sleep bedtime was fairly early, around 7 pm. But the stage shows are typically shown on your Stateroom TV, so you can enjoy them if it is too late to see the shows in the theater.
I hope this helps you, Minita! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, sail back here to see us, and we'll be so happy to help you.
Bon Voyage,
Keri
