Going on our first cruise to the Western Caribbean. How can I get info about how long we are at each port ahead of time? If we decide to book our own tours, we need to know when the boat departs. Also, I assume you can get on/off the boat at your leisure.

    Hi, Brenda!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise aboard the Disney Magic to the Western Caribbean -- it's such the perfect balance of exotic ports of call and time on board to explore the ship!

If you look under the Cruises & Destinations tab under the home page, scroll down to Caribbean and then click on Caribbean Cruises from there. You'll choose your cruise and then click on the Itineraries tab to see the list of approximate times when guests can go ashore and when guests should be back on board at each port of call. That should help you plan your tours or when you'd simply like to explore on your own. Of course, remember to keep your Key to the World Card and your passport with you at all times.

I personally recommend booking a Port Adventure through Disney Cruise Line (DCL) so that you don't have to worry about when or even if you get back in time. Since DCL has a relationship with the tour providers they endorse, they make sure you are back in time or make arrangements for you to meet the ship at the next port of call without charging you extra. To me, peace of mind is worth any dime you save booking it yourself. I hope that helps!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
