Ahoy, James!
Congratulations on booking a Disney Cruise vacation - you're in for a magical time with Captain Mickey! I know that packing for a cruise can be a challenge, but I'm here to help.
It looks like Formal Night falls on night two of your sailing. Formal Night is a wonderful opportunity to get dressed up and take advantage of the onboard photography services. We like to head to dinner early so we can stop in the Atrium Lobby for a quick photo session when we're dressed in our best! Though optional, Disney Cruise Line recommends dress pants with a jacket or suit for men and dress or pantsuit for women. You'll see some guests in very formal attire, but most will keep it simple. (No need to pack tuxedos and ball gowns!) Semi-Formal Night should be on night six. Disney Cruise Line recommends the same attire, but you will see folks a little more dressed-down on this evening. Please note that schedules are always subject to change.
You'll really enjoy the Rotational
Dining onboard the Disney Fantasy. You'll get to experience all of the restaurants on the ship, and your servers rotate with you! The excellent, personalized service you'll receive is top-notch.
I encourage you to check out the Adult Exclusive restaurants on the ship as well -
Palo and
Remy. Palo features incredible Northern Italian cuisine, and one of the best desserts on the planet. (Don't miss the chocolate souffle!) Remy is known for excellent French-inspired cuisine, and has one of the most amazing cheese carts you'll ever see. Reservations are required to dine in these exclusive restaurants, and can be made by visiting the Planning Center on the Disney Cruise Line website.
Bon Voyage! - Diane W.
