Hi Patricia!
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What an exciting trip you have planned! My family went on a sailing that included a day at
Walt Disney World and it was so much fun! It is the best of both worlds!
During your day at Walt Disney World, you can certainly visit as many of the parks as you can fit into your day! I would encourage you to think about which park(s) you definitely want to hit and start there. If your time allows for it, Disney has
complimentary transportation between the parks via bus, monorail or boat depending on which parks you are traveling between. You will receive information about returning to Port Canaveral prior to disembarking the ship.
I would recommend planning to disembark the ship as early as possible. Cabanas, the buffet restaurant will open earlier that morning to ensure you have a full tummy before heading out on your day. It is approximately 60 minutes to Walt Disney World from Port Canaveral by bus, so you want to get off the ship to be there for rope drop! Consider ending your day with a magical fireworks show before boarding a bus back to the port.
It is important to note that while your Disney Cruise Line booking includes your transportation to/from Walt Disney World and your One Day Park Hopper pass, it does NOT include food, beverages or purchases made at the parks while you are there. Additionally, your Key To The World card is not able to be used at the parks, so you will want to ensure you are prepared.
I am so thrilled for your family and the vacation you have planned. You really will get the best that Disney has to offer at sea AND on land!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
