    This will be our first cruise. We leave in Orlando Fl, and will go from Port Canaveral on a 7 days cruise. We will drive and leave our car there. Is it safe? And where do we park and leave our car ? Thanks!!

    Hi, Fabiana!

    Congratulations on your first cruise aboard Disney Cruise Line -- you are going to wonder why you've never sailed before now!

    Our family has driven to Port Canaveral and parked our car at the port terminal while we were away on a cruise.  It's a secure area, and we actually prefer having the flexibility of having our own transportation to and from the port.

    The outdoor parking facility is operated by the Port Canaveral Port Authority, and you'll want to prepare for the fact that cash, Visa and Mastercard are the only forms of payment accepted. The daily parking rate is $15, and parking for a 7-night cruise is $105. (Rates are subject to change.)

    You'll also need to know that security at the gate will check your cruise documents and forms of identification before you can proceed into the port area. My husband pulled up to the curb to unload the kids, our luggage and me, and I proceeded to check in the luggage while he parked the car. We met upstairs after we had all been through the security screening process.
