Ahoy, Tamara!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for sailing by with such an important question. I'm thrilled that you'll be setting sail on your first
Disney Cruise next February! You and your family will have so much fun onboard! It's great that you're already beginning the planning process; it's never too early to start daydreaming about all the adventures you'll have at sea!
Your little pirate princess will have no issues being able to wear her sound-reducing headphones during the Mandatory Guest Assembly Drill. My son has many medical and developmental challenges that require accommodations during our Disney Cruise Line voyages. I can assure you that you've chosen the most phenomenal vacation for your little one because the Cast Members and Crew will do everything they can to make sure your daughter is comfortable and safe while having fun!
I recommend reaching out to the
Special Services Team at (407) 566-3602 prior to setting sail and sharing a little about your daughter. The Special Services Team member might even recommend accommodations that are available to help make your daughter's cruise even more magical! For example, on our most recent cruise, the Captain played the ship's horn at noon during our day at sea. This sound might be loud and startling for your daughter if she wasn't prepared to hear it. Asking if and when the horn is played each day during your voyage would be a great question for the Special Services Team!
Tamara, I'm sure you'll have more questions as you continue planning for your inaugural voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line! Please don't hesitate to sail back and visit us again!
