This is our first cruise. Do we have to do excursions at the ports? we are going to nassau and castaway cay. we would love to just sit on the beach all day and enjoy the water. HELP!!!!

    Hi Katrina,

Welcome to the Moms Panel - congratulations on booking your first cruise!  The beauty of vacation is that it's up to you!  You've worked hard to take this vacation, so you should be able to spend it as you please, and a Disney Cruise will let you do just that.  Your are under no commitment to purchase a port adventure, or even to get of the ship!  We've taken cruises where we stayed right onboard while in Nassau, and practically had the pools to ourselves.

There are not any public beaches within walking distance of the pier in Nassau, so you would need to take a taxi.  The most popular beaches for cruise guests are Cable and Cabbage.  Just be sure to do a little research before you go, and make sure you are back to the ship in time!

    Have a great time!
