Hi, Angie!
Congratulations on your first cruise aboard the new Disney
Dream -- you really know how to go first-class for your first cruise! You're going to think you're
living a dream when you're on board!
As far as what to pack, there's a
suggested packing list in the Planning Center on disneycruise.com, and I usually encourage guests to take that and search the internet for other cruise packing lists to customize your own. My suggestions always include the obvious -- such as packing one or two nicer outfits (khaki pants, collared shirts and a dinner jacket for men and a dress and a skirt for women). I also like to suggest that guests consider their actual luggage when packing. Rolling duffle bags are easy to transport through airports and customs, but collapse the best when storing them in your stateroom. Remember to pack your swimsuit, but also put a little thought into your cover-up as well. You'll pop in and out of elevators on your way to the pools or to a shore excursion, and it's nice to know that you're covered.
For your brother in law, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at not only how welcome he is aboard Disney Cruise Line but how special the cast and crew will make him feel. Be sure to note any dietary needs or restrictions when you make your cruise reservation, and you may even want to explain his situation....especially if he needs an accessible stateroom. It's always a good idea to remind your server or head server of your requests once you're on board. I hope this relieves any concerns you may have and helps you plan.
Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
Andi
