Going on our first cruise - the dream at the end of March. My girls, 10, 8, 6 really want to get up close with the dolphins. Any suggestions on the best spot to do it? I know there are two options on Nassau and was wondering the best. Somewhere else?

    Hi, Amy!

Congratulations on your first cruise! You picked the very best by choosing Disney Cruise Line (DCL) and its newest gem, Disney's Dream. You and your daughters are going to be amazed and pampered!

By adding a Port Adventure (shore excursion) to your cruise, you'll receive an unforgettable experience ashore along with the peace of mind that comes with having Disney do all the planning. Once you reserve a Port Adventure with DCL, your tickets or documentation will be waiting in your stateroom when you arrive, and you can be sure to enjoy a hassle-free excursion with all of the service, quality and fun that you would expect from Disney.

With all that said, you probably know that all the dolphin encounters suggested by Disney would be a fantastic experience for your family. Yet, my favorite is the Atlantis Dolphin Cay Shallow Water Interaction & Aquaventure. Your girls will get a meet-and-greet for 30 minutes with a dolphin and then have access to the Atlantis' Aquaventure slides and pools. With my wide age-span of children, I like to have a variety of activities planned to suit the varied tastes. Plus, if you've never visited the Atlantis resort, the aquarium is amazing, and this shore excursion makes for a great day for the entire family.

I hope I've helped you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
