Hi Celeste!
I'm so glad that you stopped by planDisney for guidance as you chart a course for adventure on the
Disney Dream! You are in for a real treat when you step aboard your first Disney Cruise. Have your camera ready for those initial moments onboard. They will be memorable!
A four-night itinerary to The Bahamas is a fantastic way for a first-time cruiser to experience the Disney Cruise Line. You'll be experiencing the thrill of cruising on a luxury ocean liner, the enchantment of Disney Entertainment at sea and the beauty of sparkling beaches.
As far as unique entertainment goes, most four-night cruise itineraries to The Bahamas and Caribbean ports include a themed
Pirate Night. My family loves to pack a few pirate accessories for the occasion. If you don't have any buccaneer apparel, don't worry! Pirate bandanas are delivered to your stateroom so you can feel less like a scallywag and more like a seadog. Recent Pirate Nights have included themed entertainment and a special pirate menu in the Main Dining restaurants. My family especially enjoyed the interactive pirate games in the
D Lounge. I highly recommend downloading the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App prior to setting sail. This app will be your handy guide to what is happening on the ship and when you can enjoy it.
Aside from your pirate gear, there are
a few other items that I recommend that you pack! First and foremost, remember to bring your
passport and/or your required citizenship documentation. Put this in a bag that you keep on hand with you when you arrive at the port. I also like to have any medication needed, sunscreen, swimsuit and a hat in my bag that I carry on the ship. You'll be able to enjoy the pool and maybe even a ride on the
AquaDuck before the Dream leaves the port.
I also recommend that you pack some comfortable cruise casual options for any time you dine in the Main Dining restaurants.
Cruise casual simply means outfits that are not swim wear or tank tops. I like to bring a light sweater in case I get chilly in the evenings. If you enjoy dressing up, bring a cocktail dress, pantsuit, or blouse and skirt. Dressing up like this is optional, but you may find that you enjoy it. And lastly, if you choose to reserve a signature adults-only dining experience at either
Remy or
Palo, keep in mind that each of these restaurants have a dress code.
Celeste, I hope that you have a fantastic cruise! Head back to planDisney if you have any further questions. We love to help!
Happy Sailing,
Adrianna
