Going on our first cruise in 55 days! $ nights on the Wonder. Hubby does not like to wear dress shirts. Would a nice button-down collared shirt be OK for all evening dining? Love the panel, I read almost daily. thanks

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise. Discovering the wonder and magic of a vacation at sea with the Disney Cruise Line is a memorable experience!

I can tell you from experience that DCL is much more casual than other cruise lines that I've sailed on. I like that families don't have to splurge on a new wardrobe in order to feel comfortable during their sailing.

Jeans and sneakers are absolutely fine on cruise casual nights! The only restrictions are "no shorts, swimwear or tank tops" in the dining rooms. See the guidelines here.

On formal nights, it is suggested that men wear a jacket, however I've noticed on recent cruises that more men are wearing just a shirt and tie. I actually think this may be due to the more restrictive airline luggage policies and the additional baggage fees.

And remember, if you don't want to get dressed up that there are numerous dining options including Room Service. It's truly a vacation that gives guests many choices. Tailor your vacation to what works best for your family!

To help in planning your attire, I would recommend using your web browser to search "Disney Cruise Line formal night". If you click on Images, you'll see many photos!

It's so nice to hear from a loyal reader. Best wishes on your cruise!
