We are going on our first cruise in April on the Destiny, and I heard that during rotational dining you can choose where you sit on the first night and that's your table number/spot . Is there a trick to picking where to sit or is it chosen for you?

    Ahoy there!

Your Destiny awaits on your first Disney Cruise next month! What a fabulous vacation your crew will have when you board the beautiful Disney Destiny for a glorious 5-night vacation, including a stop in Cozumel, Mexico, and Disney Castaway Cay. And two days at sea will give you time to explore this vessel and all its offerings. So get ready for an entertaining ride on the AquaMouse, an incredibly talented cast performing three Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theatre, and some fun interactive shows in the Grand Hall, just to name a few. Your favorite Marvel Heroes and Villains will be part of the fantastic character lineup, so you'll want to have the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded so you can keep up with all the ship's events and activities each day.

Rotational dining makes each night's dinner a unique experience, as you'll have a change of scenery with each space telling its own story. Your dining team will rotate with you, and you'll love how well they will take care of all your dining needs from venue to venue. On the Disney Destiny, you'll eat at three amazing dining rooms: 1923, Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King, and Worlds of Marvel. Before you board the Disney Destiny, your dining rotation and table will be assigned. You won't know this information until you can log in to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app at the cruise terminal in Port Everglades. That said, you can make a dining request before your arrival. Disney Cruise Line can't guarantee these, but will do their best to consider them when planning for your family. On the Disney Cruise Line website, under "Already Booked," select "My Reservation" and scroll down until you see "Special Requests" and click on "Make Special Requests." You'll see an option for "Table Requests" on the left-hand side of the screen, so you'll click that. You'll be able to pick one of these options: near a window, quieter location, near a screen, private table, or near the center of the room. Again, this is one request per stateroom, and I recommend putting in this preference sooner rather than later.

Thank you for visiting us here at planDisney! Please let us know if you have any other questions about your Disney Destiny sailing in April. It won't be long until you're sailing away from Fort Lauderdale for your Western Caribbean adventure with Disney Cruise Line.
