This is our first cruise (4 adults 2 kids) the youngest is 4 but we are interested in the tulum ruins. The age is 5 and up how firm are these age guidelines? Seeing as we have 4 adults to deal with one child is this something she could participate in?

    Hi, Lee!

Congratulations on your first cruise -- you know how to start off in style by choosing Disney Cruise Line (DCL)!

For Port Adventures, DCL works closely with the tour operators to set guidelines not only for guests to determine how each of their family members might enjoy the excursion but also because there are specific safety factors to take into consideration, too.  However, if you look closely to the description of the Tulum Ruins Port Adventure, you'll notice that although children 5+ are permitted on this shore excursion -- it is not recommend for children under 8.

There are so many Port Adventures in Cozumel I recommend finding one that you know everyone will enjoy -- the Mayan Ruins & Discover Mexico Park is suited for all ages. I hope this helps. Come back to ask more questions if you need further assistance.

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
