Hello, first bringing my daughter and 8 year old grandson. Thinking of Magic Kingdom late Friday afternoon into evening, Animal Kingdom Saturday and Typhoon Lagoon Sunday. What do you think? Anything special I should reserve for 8 year old boy?

    Hi Lisa!

Thanks so much for ask me this question! I feel so honored to be able to help you. Your itinerary looks perfect! Since Magic Kingdom is open until 1:00am on Friday, you will be able to take full advantage of most of the attractions. You can't beat seeing Wishes fireworks spectacular on your first night of a Walt Disney World vacation! Visiting Animal Kingdom the next day is great since it's more of a laid back park, with limited hours. This works since you'll be able to enjoy your whole day, but still have time in the evening to visit another park (if you have park hopper tickets), or explore your Resort Hotel. When you visit Animal Kingdom, be sure to sign up your grandson for the Wilderness Explorers. He'll have a great time participating in this super fun scavenger hunt around the park.

Your Sunday at Typhoon Lagoon will be just as amazing. If you'd like to do something special for your 8 year old grandson and your daughter, I suggest reserving a cabana for the day. My fellow panelist, Beth, shares which cabana options are available and how to book them, in this Moms Panel answer: Typhoon Lagoon cabanas.

I hope this answers your question, Lisa. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me at any time.

Have a magical time this weekend!
