This is our first big vacation with our new children. We have adopted 6 children 5,13,14,15,17 18.We want it to be something they'll always remember but how can we do this without breaking the bank & around April @ spring break or as soon as school s o

Hi, Jane!  Congratulations on the new additions to your family!

So lets start with accommodations.  For a party of eight, your most comfortable and convenient option is going to be a Disney Vacation Club two bedroom villa.  Accommodating eight, the villas have a full kitchen, washer and dryer, two full bathrooms, and plenty of room to stretch out.  With properties at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Boardwalk, and even Saratoga Springs, the villas have themes that fit just about every vacation dream.  To keep a tighter reign on the budget, you could do two rooms at a Value resort, or even two family suites at the Art of Animation resort.

You can make the trip magical by getting the most out of the theme parks you visit, and promise yourself to come back for the ones you've missed.  Most children enjoy the Magic Kingdom, which is the crown jewel of Walt Disney World.  My kids (ages 21, 11, and 7) also really enjoy a day at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Anything beyond those two parks for my kids is pure bonus.

You could plan breakfasts in the resort room, but plan on at least one character meal.  It will be something they will remember, and if you choose a buffet meal, you might get away with just two meals and a snack that day!

Keep your eyes peeled for special promotions, like free dining.  For a family this size, free dining is an awesome way to afford a spectacular Walt Disney World vacation.  You might also find room only discounts that make it easier to fit in a special meal or a behind the scenes tour.

I hope the trip is everything you are dreaming of!
