Hi there, Traci!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How excited are you for your upcoming
Alaskan adventure?!?! I bet you are counting down the days until you set sail with Captain Mickey for a voyage that you won’t forget! My family leaves for Vancouver to board the Disney Wonder in a few weeks and we can’t wait! While we are thrilled to experience Alaska, we are also looking forward to escaping the summer Texas heat!
I am so glad you stopped by with your question about booking
Port Adventures! Disney Cruise Line does an exceptional job of finding the best opportunities for Guests to see and experience some incredible things while at port! I always love looking through the many options and often have difficulty narrowing it down to what exactly to select! In fact, we are still wavering between a few options for our own upcoming trip…we are incredibly indecisive! My boys would love a zipline experience and like you, I am not sure that it is something I personally am interested in doing, but they sure are! But…unfortunately (for them) they are not quite old enough so I dodged it this go around, but eventually I am sure they will convince us it’s a “must do”! Unfortunately, if your daughter wants to zipline and you do not, you still have to accompany her with a paid excursion ticket. Part of the ticket price is for the transportation to the location, and unfortunately, a “spectator” option is not available for these specific excursions. The only other option I can suggest is looking into booking a zipline adventure with an outside vendor. Perhaps they have transportation from the port, or you can get a taxi to take you there. Sometimes this is a cost-effective option, and other times it’s best to just book with Port Adventures with the comfort of knowing that everything is taken care of for you...and who knows, you may just decide to take a ride as well!!
So much fun awaits you on the Disney Wonder and I am so excited for you! If you have any other planning questions as your voyage approaches, please come back!
Happy Sailing!
