Hi there, Jennifer! Welcome back to planDisney!
I'm so happy to chat with you today about
Disney's Wilderness Lodge! My family and I just returned from a stay at this beautiful resort hotel during the holiday season. While we had visited Disney's Wilderness Lodge several times to enjoy their many delicious
dining options, this was the first time we called this particular resort hotel our home away from home. It quickly became one of our favorite resorts due to its cozy, secluded feel.
The wooded area that Disney's Wilderness Lodge is nestled within certainly lends to the resort's charm. It truly feels as if you've left Central Florida and traveled to the Pacific Northwest. While all of those trees are perfect for the resort's theming, they do make it a bit hard to have a clear sightline to
Magic Kingdom Park. You won't really be able to see
fireworks from the common areas of Disney's Wilderness Lodge, however, some Guest rooms do have partial views of the fireworks. If you take a look at the
room rates for Disney's Wilderness Lodge, you will see that there are certain rooms that are classified as "Nature Fireworks View." If you book a room in this category, you should be able to catch some of the fireworks show from your balcony. My family was very lucky when we stayed at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Since it was on a lower floor, our room was considered a "Nature View" rather than a "Nature Fireworks View." However, we could still see some of the higher-level fireworks above the treetops.
Although Disney's Wilderness Lodge might not be the best spot from which to view fireworks, it is the perfect place to catch the
Electrical Water Pageant. I love to grab a drink at
Geyser Point Bar & Grille and sit by the water as the floating parade makes its way past the resort. The Electrical Water Pageant is pure nostalgic Disney joy!
Jennifer, if we can answer any additional questions for you as you prepare for your trip, please don't hesitate to ask. We're all ears! See ya real soon!
