Fireworks are one of my favorite parts of any Walt Disney World vacation. Because in The Most Magical Place on Earth, fireworks aren't just fireworks! From the storytelling to the music that always tugs at my heartstrings, fireworks in Disney World are an unforgettable emotional experience!
Ken, I'm happy to share that the
Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort features two beautiful terraces where guests can watch
Happily Ever After. The 5th-floor Wave Break Terrace and the 3rd-floor Bamboo Garden Terrace are both beautifully decorated with vibrant artwork and lush greenery, and both offer comfortable spaces to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or catch the fireworks at night.
Now, my family stayed at Island Tower earlier this summer, and we watched the fireworks from the Wave Break Terrace. This was SO convenient, and we loved how they piped in the music for the full viewing experience! If prime views are important to you, be sure to get there early since those front-row seats are limited. Still, my family showed up just a few minutes before showtime, and we still found a good spot.
One important thing to note is that both of these terraces are exclusive to guests staying at Island Tower, so you must be a registered guest there to use them. In fact, my husband and I were surprised to learn that Island Tower requires guests to scan a
MagicBand+ or room key to use the Tower elevator!
Ken, if you're not staying at Island Tower for your upcoming stay, you can still catch the fireworks from
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. My favorite way to do this is with an
Advance Dining Reservation at
Wailulu Bar & Grill!
I just checked the
Hours & Events Calendar for the week of your stay, and Happily Ever After is currently scheduled to begin at 9:30 PM. I suggest making a late dinner reservation shortly before then, so you can catch the fireworks right from the restaurant. If there are no reservations available at this time, don't give up. Guests are constantly changing their plans, so keep checking back in the weeks, days, and even hours before your visit!
