Hi there Sandra, and welcome to planDisney!
Reach out and find your happily ever after... The music from Walt Disney World's nighttime entertainment is so beautiful, and just listening to it brightens my day. There is no better way to end a Disney day than gazing up at a night sky illuminated with fireworks, set to a memorable soundtrack. While fireworks shows and nighttime spectaculars are not currently part of our world, my family and I anxiously await their return and keep our eyes on the
Disney Parks Blog for news and updates.
Take a look at what's already shown up on World Showcase lagoon as EPCOT prepares to debut its new show, Harmonious.
Although we can't enjoy in-person fireworks at the moment, you can catch them on your television if you are a Guest at an onsite
Disney Resort Hotel. On a recent visit to
Disney's Riviera Resort, my little Mouseketeers snuggled up in their pajamas and fell asleep to the sights and sounds of
Happily Ever After. It wasn't quite as exciting as watching the show live from the
Magic Kingdom Park, but it certainly was a relaxing way to wind down after an exciting day in the theme parks. Check the channel guide on your resort television to see where you can view fireworks from the comfort of your room.
Without evening entertainment in the theme parks, my family and I have enjoyed swimming in our resort pool and watching
Movies Under the Stars as alternative activities. We have also visited
Disney Springs and sat down for a late meal after the theme parks have closed. I know our evenings in Walt Disney World look a little different these days, but we've had some fantastic, memorable experiences that we may not have sought out had we been following our usual routine. Adventure is out there, and I hope you find some new ways to cap off your Disney days on your upcoming visit.
Sandra, as the world around us continues to move forward and adapt, so will
Walt Disney World and its offerings. I encourage you to follow the Disney Parks Blog and
check out planDisney on social media for news and updates from the theme parks and resorts. If there is anything else we can zip-a-dee-do to help make your next vacation more magical, come see us again.
