Welcome to planDisney, Carol. As one of the original Walt Disney World Resorts,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is stunning, with a rich Disney history. The overall vibe here always immerses you in the vacation spirit, and we love its proximity to Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT.
I did some Disney digging, Carol. While the Rarotonga building offers easy access to the Great Ceremonial House and the
Transportation and Ticket Center, its rooms are not listed as providing a Theme Park view. Rooms on the north side overlook the gardens or pool, and southern side rooms typically overlook the gardens, monorail, or the parking lot. The best way to view fireworks from your room (the stuff of Disney dreams) is to book a Theme Park View. The Northern side rooms at the
Tuvalu building are a great example.
Another alternative I suggest as a Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Guest is to view the fireworks from the beach in the resort overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon. We have always found this a magical atmosphere. You could even grab a snack and a Skipper Sipper from the nearby
Trader Sam's Tiki Terrace for the show. Afterward, it would just be a short stroll back to your room in the Rarotonga building, wrapped in that
Happily Ever After glow.
Carol, I hope this information helps you to make the most of your visit to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's a special place to stay in the Most Magical Place on Earth.
We're always here to help with any other Walt Disney World questions. Louise.
