Will there be fireworks at night an/or a parade? Also, will Disney characters make an appearance?

Hi there, Grace! Welcome to planDisney!

This is such a great question, Grace, and your timing is Incredible because we just learned yesterday that fireworks spectaculars are finally returning to Disney Parks! At Walt Disney World, fireworks will be lighting up the night skies over the Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT again beginning July 1. I'm not sure how long you'll be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, but if you can extend your stay a few days, you might just be able to catch them!

If it turns out you're just missing the return of the fireworks shows, Grace, you can still see your Disney pals traversing the Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, and Disney's Hollywood Studios in the Character Cavalcades. They'll float by several times a day, so you'll be sure to spot them for a wave or to blow a kiss. As yet, the longer daily parades and in-person meet-and-greet opportunities aren't quite ready to come back, but I'm sure our Disney friends can't wait to be out and about again!

I hope this is helpful Grace! It may not be exactly the news you were looking for, but hopefully you'll be able to see the nighttime spectaculars real soon. Have an amazing vacation, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
