Greetings Charlotte - thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!
I try to avoid leaving a Walt Disney World theme park right after the fireworks have completed. This is one of the busiest times for Disney transportation as guests leave to head back to the parking lot or their resort for the evening.
Regardless if you are staying on or off the Walt Disney World Resort property, guests are welcome to enjoy the park until closing time. You can review the
Hours and Events Calendar for your specific dates to see what time the park you are visiting will close each day. Additionally, this calendar also provides the schedule for Fireworks and Night Time Entertainment.
For your specific itinerary, I checked the first 5 nights after your arrival date and found that Epcot will be closing at 9 pm which is the same time
Epcot Forever begins. Therefore, you would not be able to enjoy and attraction after the fireworks, however, you would be able to browse some of the shops that will remain open up to 60 minutes after the park closes or another idea would be to check out
Disney's Boardwalk which is walking distance at the back entrance of EPCOT. If you decide to visit the Boardwalk, please note that
Disney Transportation will run approximately one hour after the park closes.
At Disney's Magic Kingdom Park,
Happily Ever After will begin at 8:30 pm whereas the park will close at 10:00 pm on select nights during your visit. You will definitely have time to stay in the park after the fireworks show. In fact, as long as you are in line for an attraction before 10:00 pm, you will be allowed to wait in that line until you are able to enjoy the attraction.
Please check the
Hours and Events Calendar as your holiday nears. The posted times are subject to change. If you are ever in doubt of park closing times, you can ask any cast member for the most up to date information.
I hope you find this information helpful. As always, if you have further questions for the planDisney team, please let us know!
