Hi there, Rashda, and welcome to planDisney!
Walt Disney World Resort is famous for its nightly
fireworks spectaculars, so it's no wonder that the annual fireworks displays honoring Independence Day (a holiday celebration synonymous with fireworks throughout the country) are wildly popular among Guests. Because of this, I'm happy to confirm that Magic Kingdom Park presents its signature patriotic fireworks display,
Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, on both July 3rd and July 4th at 9:20 PM, so your family will have the opportunity to see The Most Magical Place on Earth paint the sky above Magic Kingdom Park and Seven Seas Lagoon red, white, and blue!
As an American History teacher, I would be remiss if I didn't point out other ways you can honor America's 248th birthday during your day in Magic Kingdom Park. In Liberty Square, you'll find an authentic replica of the Liberty Bell cast from the same mold as Philadelphia's original as well as Walt Disney World's own Liberty Tree featuring 13 lanterns paying homage to both the original 13 Colonies and the original Liberty Tree in Boston famous for its proximity to Sons of Liberty meetings during the Revolution. Liberty Square is also home to the
Hall of Presidents where Guests enjoy an (air-conditioned) viewing of a film highlighting Presidential contributions to American history before a stirring introduction to audio-animatronics of each American President.
Finally, be sure to keep an eye out for the
Disney Parks Blog's Fourth of July Foodie Guide set to be released on June 25 so you'll know what fabulous treats await you!
I hope this information helps you enjoy Magic Kingdom Park's patriotic fireworks display during your visit, Rashda! If any additional questions arise as you plan, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Magic,
Lizzie
