Hi Kate,
Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Happily Ever After is one of the best and most mesmerizing fireworks spectaculars. I just returned from a stay at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort where my wife and I enjoyed viewing the Happily Ever After from the resort's beach, complete with all the fireworks show music.
The nighttime fireworks spectacular can also be viewed from locations like
California Grill lounge or observation deck or
Top of the World Lounge at Disney Vacation Club Villa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is a fun, cozy, cave-sized establishment for explorers and adventurers and a most popular spot for a rum-infused respite after cruising jungle waters. In my experience, the Skipper and crew manage a (shrunken) head count so that the room doesn't swell to zombie-packed capacity. If the Grotto is full, they'll take your name and text you when a space for you is available to seat yourself in available spots. My suggestion is to simply check in and ask about leaving and returning. If the crowd is light you might return effortlessly from your exploits or you might be asked to rejoin the wait list. The adjoining Tiki Terrace offers outdoor seating.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
