When will the fireworks for July 4th take place in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World? With it being America's 250 we are looking forward to this annual event.

    Hiya Angel,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your Fourth of July question! There is just something so magical about celebrating Independence Day at Disney World. Seeing the night sky sparkle with fireworks over Cinderella Castle always gives me all the red, white, and blue feels. My family loves spending the holiday weekend in the parks because Disney truly knows how to make celebrations feel extra special.

According to the Disney Parks Blog, you will be happy to hear that this year, Magic Kingdom is extending the celebration even longer! Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will light up the skies over Magic Kingdom for all three nights of the holiday weekend from July 3 through July 5. In previous years, this was typically shown only on July 3 and 4, so adding an extra night feels like a little extra pixie dust.

Fireworks usually begin around 9:20 PM, but I always recommend checking your My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit since showtimes can change. If you plan on watching from inside Magic Kingdom, I definitely suggest arriving early because it gets very busy. One of my favorite parts of the night is the festive atmosphere before the fireworks even begin. There is usually a DJ out in front of Cinderella Castle helping everyone get into the patriotic spirit.

Speaking of snacks, I highly recommend stopping at Main Street Confectionery and heading over to my favorite spot, Kernel Kitchen, to create a custom popcorn mix for your family and friends to share while you wait for the fireworks. Disney usually adds special seasonal treats during holiday weekends, so I would not be surprised at all to see some fun red, white, and blue popcorn combinations popping up.

Angel, I hope this helps answer your question and gets you even more excited for your star-spangled Disney day! If you have any more questions, please stop by and visit us again.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
