Will there be any Fireworks during this week? If so, where is the best place to view these? We were interested in doing Disney Dolphins in Depth or Backstage Safari, Could you let me know which you prefer?

    Hi Emily,

I am so happy to help you plan your honeymoon at Walt Disney World!

There are fireworks pretty much every night at Walt Disney World, unless they are cancelled due to terrible weather. You can see Wishes Nighttime Spectacular at Magic Kingdom, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot, or Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Fantasmic! is an amazing show with some firework effects, IllumiNations includes lasers, water effects, and fireworks, and Wishes is the most traditional fireworks show. By visiting the official Disney World website for each of these shows, I was able to see the times for the beginning of your trip. It looks like Wishes and Illuminations will be at 9:00 p.m., and Fantasmic will be at 6:30 p.m. Another good place to look for a fireworks schedule is at wdwinfo.com - visit this site, go to "theme parks," then "park hours," and then select the "fireworks/parades only" option for the month of your visit. Since your visit is still a little ways off, these might change, so be sure to check back for times as you get closer.

I have never done the Dolphins in Depth or Backstage Safari tour, so my wonderful fellow Moms Panelists Kay and Erin helped out with this. Erin has recently taken and enjoyed the Dolphins in Depth experience. She wrote a great blog about it which you can find at blog.touringplans.com by searching for "Dolphins in Depth," and looking for the article by Erin. Kay mentioned that you should be aware that this is not a traditional swimming with the dolphins experience. You do interact with the dolphins, but while standing is waist-high water. I think that you should decide which tour to take based on which animals are of more interest to you.

I would love to help you plan your honeymoon more; Emily, however I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do come back and ask with more questions as you are planning this magical vacation!
