Hi! Are there fireworks at Disneyland the dates of the Grad Nights? If so, at what time? And also, do parks close earlier on those nights?

    Hi there, Priscila!

Welcome to planDisney, it's great to meet you! I am so excited to answer your question. In my opinion, there is no better way to end a Disneyland Park visit than with a gorgeous nighttime spectacular! Bring on the music, lights, and magic!

Disneyland Resort Grad Nite for the Class of 2023 will be held on select dates in May and June. The celebration takes place in Disney California Adventure Park, meaning the park will close to the public earlier than usual on those evenings. Disneyland Park will follow its own operating hours...which aren't quite published yet, but typically would be fairly late in the evening that time of year. Certainly late enough for a nighttime spectacular or two, weather permitting!

Warm summer weekends are the perfect time to enjoy Wondrous Journeys! This spectacle goes beyond fireworks to include beautiful projections, the BEST soundtrack, and some high-flying characters! Did you know that Wondrous Journeys was written to celebrate 100 years of Disney animation? There's a special in the show nod to every single film released by the studio! It's definitely something I recommend seeing more than once...and from different locations, so you can see new details!

Don't forget, there is another nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Park that comes with its own pyrotechnics...Fantasmic! I never get tired of watching Mickey's dreams, or cheering him on as he battles through his nightmares to a spectacular finale! I really love making reservations for a dining package to get a great seat for the show.

Whatever adventurous entertainment you choose, keep an eye on the entertainment schedule so you'll be prepared for your visit!

Wishing you all the pixie dust for your visit, Priscila! Feel free to come back and ask another question if you'd like more help planning your trip!

    Keep moving forward!
