Hiya Brian,
Welcome back to planDisney! We are honored that you continue to visit us to help plan magical memories with your friends and family. Nothing is more magical to me than the combination of fireworks and yummy sweet treats. Ever since I did my first fireworks dessert party a few years ago, I’ve never looked back!
So yes, you are asked to check in 90 minutes before
Happily Ever After’s start time for the
Fireworks Dessert Pre-Party. The viewing area in the Plaza Garden is available on a first-come, first-served basis for the dessert party Guests, so the 90-minute window allows you to enjoy the desserts and then select your spot for showtime. I’ve found that by the time I check in, get the littles settled, grab a few rounds of dessert, take a break from running around all day, and hit the bathrooms, I’ve used up about an hour. In short, time really does fly when you are having fun! That said, once you check in, you will receive a wristband that enables you to come and go as you please from Tomorrowland Terrace, so don’t feel like you have to stay there eating desserts for the entire time if you don’t want to. My three-year-old gets bored after sitting still for 30 minutes, so Prince Charming will often grab her and take her on a ride with a short wait in Tomorrowland, while I stay behind and enjoy dessert with our youngest. Just make sure to keep an eye on the time so you can return on time to secure a spot for Happily Ever After.
I hope this was helpful, Brian. Before I let you go, please note that the line to check in can be long at precisely 90 minutes, so be prepared for that. The line does tend to move pretty quickly, though, so don’t worry about spending too much time waiting. Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
