Hi Lorenzo! Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you for your question about fireworks during the holiday season - what a magical time to visit!
You’re in for a treat! Walt Disney World usually pulls out all the stops for New Year's celebrations, and fireworks are definitely a part of that magic, especially at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT.
Magic Kingdom Park typically features special fireworks on December 30th and 31st. It's a stunning display that lights up the sky with all the festive vibes you could hope for. These fireworks often begin around 11:50pm, leading up to the big countdown to midnight!
Over in
EPCOT, you can expect an equally spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks show on December 31, usually beginning around 11:45pm.
On the other dates (December 28-29 and January 1), you’ll find the regular nighttime spectaculars, like
Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom and
Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT. These generally happen around between 8:15pm and 9:30pm, respectively, but I always suggest double-checking the schedule closer to your visit.
No special ticket is required for the New Year’s Eve fireworks unless you’re attending a separate hard-ticket event, like a party or dining experience. As long as you have your regular park admission and a park reservation for Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, you’ll be able to enjoy these festive displays.
Lorenzo, I hope this information gets you even more excited about your adventure! If you have any further questions to make your visit extra magical, pop back to us at planDisney.
