Hi there, Camila! Welcome to planDisney, I am so glad you found us to ask your questions about your holiday Walt Disney World vacation.
How fun that you are planning to see the New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Magic Kingdom! I have heard they are amazing but haven’t ever had the opportunity to see them.
Currently, the
Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise is taking place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with dates available through January 15. Since New Year’s Eve is a Friday, there is no cruise scheduled for that day. If your family has a theme park reservation made for Magic Kingdom, you will be guaranteed to be allowed in for the evening’s fireworks display. I would imagine that park hopping will not be available that day to Magic Kingdom.
If you do not have Magic Kingdom theme park admission for December 31, you can take one of the modes of Disney Transportation to a Seven Seas Lagoon Resort (Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, or Disney’s Contemporary Resort and find a spot with a view of Magic Kingdom to watch the fireworks show. We recently attended a dessert party at
Grand Floridian and watched the fireworks from near
Gasparilla Island Grill.
You are visiting WDW at my favorite time of year! I would definitely plan to check out the decorations at as many resorts as you can! Also, there is a brand new Gingerbread Baby Giraffe in the lobby of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, as well as a Gingerbread Carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort and a HUGE Gingerbread House in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
I hope you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World as you ring in 2022!
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
