We have the Fireworks cruise booked for one of our Epcot days, as well as Akershus in the morning. Can we park at Yacht Club for the day, and enter EC via international gateway, or do we need to park at Epcot in the morning, and move the car to YC?

    Hello Anthony,

We are sure glad you stopped by today with your question. Welcome to planDisney, I can certainly help with this one. Luminous is a great ending to a day full of activities at EPCOT. But a Fireworks Cruise is a magical ending you will likely never forget. When you visit EPCOT and start your day with a royal breakfast at Akershus, you would want to park in the EPCOT parking lot. This is because you will be allowed to park at Yacht Club Resort for your cruise, but not until later in the day when you are closer to the time you will board your boat.

I would also say drive to EPCOT so that you can take a mid-day break. This day sounds like it is going to be jam-packed full of fun and magical moments. As an adult if I plan on staying fully energized for any of the nighttime spectaculars, the mid-day break is a must. Taking a two-hour break will give you back the pep in your step, and if you are traveling with little ones this becomes a strong advisory from experience. The little ones have to travel double the distances as we do and the sensory experience is overwhelming at times for them. If I were planning my day it would start at EPCOT with plans to leave around 4 P.M. Have a nice rest and head to Yacht and Beach Club for 6 P.M. to ensure you are at the resort one hour and fifteen minutes before the fireworks begin. Make sure to check the My Disney Experience App for showtimes, as they change as the seasons change.

Hopefully this information is helpful for your visit to EPCOT and Yacht Club. Enjoy the cruise and keep the tissues around, there usually isn't a dry eye in sight during these shows.

    Have a magical day,

    Jeremy A.
