Aloha, Derrick! Welcome to planDisney! Mahalo for stopping by with such a great vacation planning question.
Wow! In just one month, you'll be arriving at the grand, gorgeous lobby of
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, feeling the warm, tropical breeze, hearing ukulele music and waves lapping the shoreline and tasting that first sip of a mai tai. Ahhhhh. That definitely sounds like a magical paradise! I'm so excited that you'll be living it up for July 4th in this pixie-dusted paradise, and I'm thrilled to answer your question today.
I spoke with an oh-so-helpful Cast Member at the front desk at Aulani, and she informed me that the Fourth of July fireworks show that can typically be viewed from Aulani are actually not put on by Aulani. They are put on by the Ko Olina Association, and as of today, no announcement has been made yet regarding the fireworks. She did tell me that they usually do not even make the announcement until days before, so, I suggest checking with a Cast Member at the front desk to inquire about the fireworks show and time as soon as you arrive. I will be wishing upon every star that you will get to kick off your magical adventure with a patriotic fireworks spectacular!
If the fireworks show does not happen, Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries!" There is still SO much fun to be had with the seemingly endless
list of Resort activities at Aulani! I recommend checking the
Daily 'Iwa: Aulani Resort Daily Activities Calendar for a list of the daily activities and schedules. My Aulani expert planDisney pal,
Kamini, told me that the "Make Your Own Mickey Ears" activity should not be missed, and I think that making some red, white and blue ears would be the perfect way to celebrate the holiday!
I hope this was helpful, Derrick, and I hope you have an unforgettable, magical vacation next month. I hope you enjoy every minute of that Hawaiian rollercoaster ride! Please stop by any time with any vacation planning questions you may have. You've got a friend in me!
I hope to see ya real soon,
Mandy
